#COVID19 pandemic ERA IS NOT A MILITARY ERA,THE CONSTITUTION AND THE RULE OF LAW ARE NOT SUSPENDED: GOVERNOR WIKE'S DEMOLITION OF TWO HOTELS IN RIVER STATE IS AN EXECUTIVE RASCALITY.

#SINCERELY SPEAKING, for a Hotel to flagrantly disobey the Emergency Executive Orders of the GOVERNOR in this critical time of COVID19 pandemic that is ravaging the whole world, is to say the least an act of wickedness and reckless disregard of the health and life of others.

Thus, I vehemently condemn the attitude of the hotel operators as being selfish and life threatening.

#HOWEVER, the Governor Wike's demolition of the hotels in my humble view is worst than the conducts of the hotel operators. Two wrongs can never make a right.

It is undemocratic, an act of dictatorship and a fragrant disregard of the Rule of law and the twin pillars of natural justice which Wike as a governor and a lawyer sworn to uphold.

Can someone help me remind Governor Wike that you can not be a judge in your own case. NEMO JUDEX IN CAUSA SUA.

Governor Wike made an executive order, which is doubtful whether it qualifies as a law under the Nigerian legal jurisprudence, he CONSTITUTED HIMSELF AS A JUDGE, tried and convicted the defaulters and meted out punishment of demolition people's means of livelihood.

IT IS only a court of law that has the Constitutional function of interpreting the law and melting out punishment to offenders.

What happened to due process of the law. NO body is above the law but Wike is claiming to be above the law through his recent conducts. Not following due process of the means he is above the law.

The era of COVID 19 is not a military era. Our constitution was never suspended. Due process of the law must be followed. The Constitution provides for fair hearing. AUDI ALTEREM PARTEM

It is my humble submission that though GOVERNOR WIKE appears to be acting in the best interest of the people of River State, and really meant well for them, he should nevertheless do so with caution and reverence to the RULE of law.

COVID 19 pandemic is really a threat and must be fought with every seriousness. But destroying the Rule of Law is not the best way to do so.

THIS his purported demolition is in my opinion an afront to the Rule of law.

This is tyrannic and dictatorial in nature.

You can not issue orders, arrest violators, convict and punish them all by yourself. This is ridiculous. Nigeria is a democratic nation.

It is condemnable.
